We hope to begin a conversation about such things as advertising trends, agency news and gossip, who is hip and who is flaming out. We want to examine and discuss current and past ad campaigns and explore why they were hits or why they bombed. We want to explore the various aspects of advertising, including such various topics as designers, copywriters, media buyers, client relations, making the pitch, and where to work. We can discuss types of advertising such as TV, radio, online, billboard, print, or direct marketing.
So why the name AdHurl? To land an account, an agency "pitches" the concept and design. Think of all those baseball pitchers who use steroids so they can "HURL" the ball instead of merely pitching it. We are looking to hurl information at you about the world of advertising.
