Julie Roehm, the 35 year old “Auto-Glam-Queen,” and sometimes controversial director of marketing communications at Chrysler Group since 2001, is leaving to join Wal-Mart. Ms. Roehm, will join the retail giant in the new position of senior VP-global marketing communications. This means her office will be furnished with this year’s lawn furniture, rather than last years. She will also get a push button phone instead of the usual Wall-Mart rotary dial model. Ms. Roehm was at the center of a storm in 2004 for signing up Dodge as a co-sponsor of the “Lingerie Bowl” as part of the Super Bowl's halftime show. Under consumer and dealer pressure, Dodge withdrew and she said at the time that it was an inexpensive buy. (Yeah… What’s a few $million here and there when your company is losing $billions?) She rose to her current post in 2003 and was said to have been disappointed she was not made a VP, as her predecessor in the post, Mr. Bell, had been. So now, at Wall-Mart, she’s a senior VP, gets an employee discount card, but for health care, she’ll have to sign on for Medicaid! EeeHaaw!![]()
Hi, y'all... I hear tell the night life down here in Arkansas is something else!
