With the news out of London yesterday that famous ad guy, Ed Morris is set to quit as Lowe London's executive CD to join Sir Frank Lowe's new shop along with a mob of other hard drinking, well tailored London ad heavies, the only thing the new agency has to worry about (Apart from IPG’s threat to take Sir Frank to the cleaners… See previous post) is just what the heck it’s going to call itself. Paul Hammersley, the former DDB London chief executive who is fronting the start-up, reported yesterday that the new agency still has no name. "We had one in mind but it's too close to what someone has already done,” Hammersley said. I suppose that means they were playing around with stuff like "Father” or “Orange Snake” or “Big Al’s Creative Strip Club” or something equally bizare. It’s a bit pathetic though when what is anticipated to be Europe’s next big creative hot shop can’t think what to put on the door!![]()
I think we should call it "Sir!"
