Apparel maker Hanes says it will expand its successful “Look Who We’ve Got Our Hanes On Now” campaign with the addition of actor Kevin Bacon. The first of two TV spots by The Martin Agency, roll out Feb. 27, and features Bacon with NBA superstar Michael Jordan. (First of all, let’s get this straight… He’s an EX- NBA Super-whatever… I suppose we can look forward to seeing this guy seated in a wheelchair forty years from now hyping adult diapers, or whatever!) In the ad, titled "Shot Blocker," Bacon is trying to shoot different objects, such as waste paper, keys and a basketball, while wearing Hanes casual wear. Jordan enters each scene out of nowhere and nonchalantly blocks Bacon's shots. Bacon says in the ad. "Hanes T-Shirts are perfect for me. I think it's fantastic that you can wear them for any occasion. That's what I'm all about." Oh Yeah… What about the dumpster loads of money they are paying you to say dumb things like that? Oh well, it’s a living!
