What is it with washed-up sports stars? Why can’t they just say, OK, I made a ton of money, now I am about to go off and run a launderette in Oshkosh and you’ll never have to put up with my delusions of grandeur ever again! What has brought this particular rant on? Reading that British TV is to broadcast a live pay-per-view basketball match featuring former NBA star Dennis Rodman on its recently launched broadband service. ITV will feature coverage of the BBL Championship match between the Newcastle Eagles and the Brighton Bears (the who and the who?) in 150-minute program featuring pre-match interviews and behind-the-scenes news. Former Chicago Bulls' player Rodman signed on with the Brighton Bears (Why… Why… Why?) The game will be Rodman's second outing for the team. In his first he scored four points. (Holy Mollie!) Nick Nurse, head coach of the Genesis Brighton Bears, added: "This is a fantastic opportunity for Bears fans all over the world to see them live. Hey Nick… Aren’t you confusing the “Brighton Bears” with the somewhat better known “Chicago Bears?” Which by the way is a football team.![]()
I hope to sign with the Zambia Zombies next year!

Geez. Who's managing his career - Anna Nicole Smith? Rodman's also supposed to be on a new show on Spike TV soon - Joe's vs. Pros.
