It would seem like “The Poisoned Dwarf” (Sir Martin Sorrel) is having a good week after his recent trials and tribulations. Today’s announcement that WPP has grown its full-year pre-tax profits by 36% to £592m, with Grey's strong contribution since its integration last March, has culminated in giving the group a surprisingly strong year. Profits growth outpaced revenue growth, which was up 25% to £5.37bn, again due to the £801m acquisition of Grey. Organic revenue growth was 5.5%. New business worth £2.8bn was won during 2005, with media operations leading the way. You have to hand it to the little bugger though, he’s made some very smart investments in media and online companies, as well as making strong commitments to China and India. Maybe, he can now afford to move out of the basement! As a shareholder (I own all of FIVE shares – Given to me as an amazing prize for winning a Gold EFFIE for O&M) I am pleased to read that WPP's profits have impressed analysts and its shares started today up 5.25% to 651p. That’ll just about buy me a pint! Cheers!![]()
Welcome to my kingdom!

Whoa - you got five shares of stock for that win??? Todd, did you get any shares? I didn't get any shares...I thought all we got was to go to the awards ceremony for free and keep that little trophy.
