
You would think that by now all the companies that have shelled out big, big bucks to sponsor and promote specific athletes would realize the inherent dangers of doing this. Remember the great “Dan versus Dan - Who will be the world’s greatest athlete?” Nike hype of a couple of Olympics ago? Well, they’ve just done it again, what with Kwan, Bode and Ohno amongst others all blowing out bigtime, you’d think they would have learned to cool it. I mean every time I see one of them in a Visa or Nike spot, not to mention the hundreds of NBC promo spots, all I can say is… Coulda toldya!!!![]()
