News from England of a breaking ad campaign for Vodafone promoting the fact that you can now buy your cell phone from a street vending machine. A Vodafone spokesperson explained: "The campaign is aimed at people who need a phone in an emergency, either because they have lost their phone or it has run out of battery. They are for people who know what they want and who don't want to go through the rigmarole of talking to a sales assistant." Well, that might be true, although considering the fact that the landscape of Britain now seems to be populated by drunken teenagers, I hope these vending machines are suitably reinforced to withstand the onslaught of a twenty year old after twelve pints of Mild and Bitter!![]()
They've only had 'em in Japan for the last hundred years!
