
The world’s most boring beer is determined to become the world’s most boring beer advertiser. As if Anheuser-Busch didn't get enough mileage from their mind melting ads during the Super Bowl, they are now inflicting hundreds of even worse spots during NBC's Winter Olympic Games! Apparently, these prime examples of MadAve’s “Dahmeresque - I am about to pierce your skull with a drill,” approach to advertising will include spots that showcase Bud Select and highlight images such as elegant home dining, casual sports, artwork, time with friends and preparing for a night out—all part of how the brand fits into contemporary lifestyles. Oh, please pardon me for yawning, if not throwing up! This is not exactly a breakthrough in TV art!
"We are looking for new ways to connect with our contemporary adult beer drinkers, and these ads take consumers to a new level of awareness—one they can identify with in their everyday lives," said Marlene Coulis, VP-brand management for Anheuser-Busch. To which I reply, Marlene, baby, your 5th grade English teacher would have whacked the c**p out of you for abusing the English language in such a shameful fashion!![]()
