Hot off the presses… PepsiCo's Gatorade said it reached an out-of-court settlement with Coca-Cola late yesterday over a disputed commercial for Coke's Powerade Option sports drink. And, after my post of yesterday… All I can say is… Helloo!!! Or, in the words of Coke's legal hack-flack… “Our primary concern is to ensure that consumers are accurately informed about the benefits of a functional sports drink, and we are satisfied with Powerade Option's decision," Well, OK Guys, no need to be so prissy about this… We all know that these so called sports drinks are just colored water which not only costs ten times more that just filling your bottle with tap water, it probably is full of ten times more crap than the stuff you are already paying you’re local water authority to deliver on a daily basis! It’s this kind of stuff that reinforces my conviction that the economy of the USA is based on people just kicking the crap out of each other… When was the last time someone actually made something? Also, never, ever forget the imortal words that Steve Jobs said to John Sculley when he was trying to get him to come onboard fromPepsi to Apple Computer...
"Do you want to sell sugar water for the rest of your life, or do you want to change the world?"
Well, all I can say is... Seems to me like theyr're still selling sugared water... And shame on them!!!
