News that Lowe London CEO Garry Lace has been suspended while the agency investigates "certain matters that have come to the company's attention,” reminds me of the ever churning London ad scene where deals are done over expensive meals in some of the capitol’s finest eateries, and new agencies bloom and fade as quickly as the accounts they have prized away from their former employers lose interest and move on to the latest start-up. Apparently, Lowe and IPG were probing allegations that Lace met several times with former chairman Frank Lowe to discuss the agency's Tesco account before Lowe launched his agency in December. Lace, was suspended indefinitely on Thursday. In a brief statement, Lowe also confirmed that Lace would continue to be paid. Which means it will all blow over, until the next Quigley, Bigley, Smidgeley & Smith is conceived over Rule’s magnificent Roast Beef and Yorkshire pud, washed down by a few bottles of rather delightful Claret!![]()
Would you like to take the box home with you, Mr. Tesco?
