Following on from my post of yesterday regarding yet more delays in the release of Microsoft’s new operating system “Vista,” which has now been pushed back to early next year. Now Microsoft officials have acknowledged that Office 2006 is now going to launch in 2007, not 2006. "It is true that Microsoft has decided to coordinate with Windows Vista to hit retail store shelves in January 2007, but that's a reflection of the desire to provide an easy purchasing process for consumers and a simplified selling opportunity for retailers," said a company SpokesHack in another wonderful example of Microsoft spin "There is no slip in schedule, just a change in delivery for the benefit of consumers and retailers," was the way it was put. I’m sure that McCann can come up with a brilliant campaign justifying this baloney through the use of long dead prehistoric animals emerging from the permafrost to enjoy the benefits of Office 2007 BC! They just managed to have missed the shipping date by a few million years.![]()
There is no problem with Office 2006. This "Mother of all Applications" is shipping now as I stand here in 2008.
