Interesting news out on Friday that NBC has quietly filmed 10 Webisodes of "The Office" for release this summer on its Web site, NBC.com. I am somewhat pleased that even though NBC has made other TV shows available online, the network has never before created video programs exclusively for the Web. The two-minute episodes of “the Office” focus on the accounting department of Dunder Mifflin--a paper-supply company in Scranton, Pennsylvania--as it feebly investigates the disappearance of $3000. The network will post one new Webisode a week. So, why am I pleased? “Cos this is one of the few transplants from British TV that hasn’t been screwed up in its watered down transatlantic version. Although, I have to own up to thinking the original BBC series of “The Office” with Ricky Gervais is wet-your-pants funny compared to the US version.![]()
My name is David Brent. This is my office. I'm in charge. If you don't like it... Go work somewere else!

I prefer the UK version better myself. US version lost the subtle edge.
