There’s a nice piece in today’s AdAge by Scott Donaton concerning his thoughts at the Ad Hall of Fame Luncheon and how things seem to have regressed since he listened to William B. Ziff standing in the grand ballroom of New York’s Waldorf-Astoria hotel in 1992. He was there to accept a lifetime-achievement award from the Magazine Publishers of America. His comments more than 14 years ago about how the effects of public ownership and gigantism were harming the industry he so loved, are even more apt today. Unfortunately, the vast majority of the people in advertising fail to realize it! Read the article. Well worth a couple of minutes.![]()
