Is it just me who thinks streaming video of old TV shows that looked bad the first time they ran will only make them look even worse on a 12 inch laptop screen? Apparently AOL thinks there’s a big market out there. “Online. Anytime. Always free." That's the theme of an online and billboard campaign created by Hill, Holliday, Connors, Cosmopulos that will launch AOL's In2TV online channel, the one dedicated to streaming classic (that’s adspeak for “old”) sitcoms and dramas. The channel, which AOL and Warner Brothers announced last year, allows viewers to stream full-length, ad-supported episodes of a range of Warner Brothers television shows such as Welcome Back Kotter, Growing Pains and Wonder Woman. Wow… truly “classic” stuff there guys! OK, here’s the key question… Is all that “classic” stuff free ‘cos it’s got lots of ads in it, or do I still have to pay a couple of bucks for it. I just went to the Web site… The good news is, after you’ve suffered through the ads, it’s free. The bad news is the video quality is appalling! On the “classic” shows that is. The video quality on the ads is great! ![]()
How about a Wonder Woman "Classic Baking" series?
