Isn’t it strange that we in advertising have to be very careful about the language we use and how we describe people we may not be overly fond of, yet if you are a head of state, you can get away with almost anything. Today Media Magnate/Italian Prime Minister, Silvio Berlusconi described left wing voters as “dickheads!’ Well, at least that’s the literal translation of the word he used… Coglioni. He has also gone on record as giving up sex for the election, compared himself to Jesus and Napoleon, and admitted phoning late-night erotic chat lines. As the owner of just about every media outlet in Italy, I suppose he can say just about anything he wants. At least he hasn’t started any wars recently.
