In the excitement of discovering Chess Boxing, (see my post of yesterday) I had completely forgotten the unique British – But now enjoyed all over the world – Sport of “Extreme Ironing!” This is a sport who's devotees like nothing more than removing creases from their clothes halfway up cliffs, on top of mountains or in busy city streets. Its creator Phil Shaw, of Leicester, says it "combines the thrill of an extreme sport with the satisfaction of a well-pressed shirt". Go to the Extreme Ironing Web site for more details. They even have a World championship… Isn’t this the perfect sponsorship opportunity for everyone making laundry stuff? Everything from electric irons to washing powder. This could knock American Idol of the "Telly!" Someone get P&G to give me a ring!
