More on the dumping of Scott McNealy (See my post of yesterday) As the San Jose Mercury put it today… “That long walk off a short board came Monday afternoon for McNealy I don't believe for a minute the polite news release saying ``the appointment is the result of Sun's ongoing succession planning process. Here's what I'm convinced really happened: Sun directors, under intense Wall Street pressure, told McNealy to give up command. McNealy, the polite news release continues, ``will focus his efforts on Sun's government and academic relationships globally, as well as expand his role with key strategic partner relationships.'' This is the part I love… If we were talking about a local Wal-Mart store, McNealy would have just moved from manager to front-door greeter!” Great stuff. Still It’s better than McDonalds… He doesn't get grease all over his blue vest.
