For some strange reason British actor Clive Owen, star of the recent Spike Lee film 'Inside Man', has been named as the new advertising face of L'Oreal-owned luxury cosmetic brand Lancome. 'Kill Bill' star Uma Thurman was dropped as the face of Lancome in October 2003 after just two years. Thurman, who is 36, is understood to have been dropped for being too old. Owen, who lost out on the James Bond role to Danielle Craig, is 41. OK, so he’s older, he’s a guy, and as far as I know, he doesn’t wear makeup. I don’t want to get into a gender thing here, but can someone tell me what’s going on?
