
Is it just me, or are all the accounts being moved around recently, incredibly boring. Hot on the heels of Kimberly-Clark putting a ton of diapers, sanitary pads and various other things you use on your nether parts into JWT. Today it was announced that Whirlpool would consolidate creative chores at Publicis Groupe's Publicis USA and media duties at Optimedia. Along with the Whirlpool brand, these agencies will also handle the Maytag brands. I mean can you imagine the excitement at these shops as the creative’s fight each other tooth and nail for the opportunity to work on the “Maytag Super Sudser?” Or better yet the chance of picking up that Gold Pencil for your breakthrough work on “Depends” “Kotex” and “Huggies?”![]()
I think it was the master stroke of putting "Plus" in the headline that got me the Gold!

But why do white goods have to be boring!
Everyone knows a fridge carries beer and exciting food. We know that your washing machine makes your stylish clothes clean.
I wish more goods like that would do ads like Ariston used to do.
On and on and Ariston etc... They were quirky and weird but I remembered the brand for 10 years without ever seeing a Ariston branded product.
