
BrandWeek, which is always a good read, and excellently written, has an interesting piece on an online survey dealing with, “Metrosexuals.” That’s right the guys who are somewhat obsessed by their appearance. So now with Father’s Day gift-giving looming, the mass retailers such as Wal-Mart and Target are gearing up for big sales. Unfortunately more than half of the men surveyed said they do not pay attention to products marketed to them and simply stick to what they know already. Makes sense to me. Years ago, when I worked on Old Spice, most of it was bought by elderly women for their grandsons. Not surprised really, it was bloody awful stuff.![]()

Actually, I cant recall any other old spice ads since then... or was it US only?
