Advertising, ad campaigns, ad agencies, and the people that make it happen

I’ve been waiting to comment on the new Apple campaign ‘til it sank in a bit… I’ve decided they are “so-so” not bad, but not that good. Usual Apple understatement, but rather flat. The PC guy is obviously positioned as a dork, while the Mac guy is “cool.” No surprises there. The stuff about PC’s do spreadsheets and Macs do all these wonderful graphics is also a bit stale and “so what?” The best is probably the one with the Japanese chick, who is actually a digital camera is probably the most effective. She’s also a hell of a lot better looking than the other two which probably influenced me!
