
Isn’t advertising wonderful? AdRants has a piece on how Advertising Week is about to take over New York City with Sixth Avenue festooned with banners featuring famous advertising icons from Tony the Tiger to Juan Valdez to the Geico Gecko. I mean as if people aren’t already bombarded with a tsunami of advertising, Mayor Bloomberg in his wisdom is now plastering the ‘Big Apple” with crap at the cities expense! Even better, just as in American Idol the public will, once again, have a chance to vote for their favorites. Further proof that the dumbing down of America continues apace.![]()
