Seems like the online video sites can do no wrong with visits to the top 10 ten increasing 164 percent in the past three months (from week ended February 25 to week ended May 20), with YouTube alone accounting for 43 percent of the traffic, The online video site was also ranked at number 42 among half a million websites tracked by “Hitwise.” YouTube's share of visits has increased 160 percent in the last three months. I have to admit, I’ve seen a lot of stuff take off quickly over the years (and a lot hit the deck just as rapidly) but this video thing is red hot… And it isn’t going to go away. Even MySpace is getting in the act and provided more than 20 percent of YouTube's traffic in February and March, before launching its own video sharing service in April. Let’s hope MyTube retains its dominance. The last thing I want is for the “Wizened of Oz” (Rupert Murdoch) to own the video space.
