I have to say I am mightily impressed with the Ford “Bold Moves” Web site. I assume Global agency JWT was involved, if not totally responsible for the whole thing. How refreshing to be so brutally honest about the obvious problems facing the company. Unlike most of Corporate America, they make no attempt to gloss it over, instead give a soundly reasoned argument that they are attempting to turn things around. It can do them nothing but good, I am sure. As dear old dead David Ogilvy once said… “The consumer isn’t stupid, she’s your wife!” Treat people with respect and intelligence and it will pay off. JWT is really starting to buck up, what with their joint venture with the Huffington post that I commented on last week, and several other good things I’ve been hearing lately. Check out the Ford Web site, it’s extremely well done, and is something a lot of other companies I could mention should be doing…. But the odds on any of them having the balls to do it are pretty slim.![]()
