Maybe I’m missing the point here, but in today’s New York Times Ad Column, Stuart Elliott is talking about how General Mills has decided to let its two ad agencies, Campbell Mithun and Saatchi & Saatchi determine the media in which their ads should run! But, isn’t that what you hire an agency for? Otherwise, why not just book the media yourself. He then goes on to state that General Mills will also allow the agencies to decide who creates the ads! Without wishing to sound repetitious here… Isn’t that also what you hire them to do? Or maybe you just hire them to wine and dine you and get you tickets to all the good stuff. I’m confused!![]()
Either courtside or one of those boxes. I'm not fussy!
