Reading in today’s BrandWeek about the possibility of immortality for “Twinkie the Kid” (Who?) from your favorite food… Twinkies! He needs your vote if he is going to earn his rightful place on the “Madison Avenue Walk of Fame.” If you go to HostessCakes.com, click on the logo, and cast your vote, he might just do it. Winners will be announced Sept. 28. But here’s the really funny bit… The Madison Avenue Advertising Walk of Fame’s Museum is under construction, and won’t open until Spring, 2008; in Kansas City, Missouri! Hmmm…Madison Avenue…. Kansas City! Am I missing something here?
