Why am I not surprised to read that a recent poll conducted by Harris Interactive, the "2006 State of Corporate Blogging" survey, found that Fortune 1000 business executives are reacting slowly to the idea of corporate blogs as a communications medium. With only 30% of senior executives claiming that they actually know what a blog is! The study found only a small minority of senior executives think corporate blogging has any credibility either as a communications medium, brand-building technique or a sales or lead generation tool. As you would expect while many have taken legal or other action in response to a blog, only 20% report having a formal process in place for monitoring blogs written about their own company. Maybe they can get their secretaries to take care of it when they’ve finished bringing the coffee!![]()
I didn't get where I am today by doing a blog. Whatever that may be!

I didn't know so few executives were taking blogs seriously. Nice picture as always George.
