PSFK has an interesting item from Piers Fawkes who has been speaking recently about “The death of rights for text and images.” Pointing out the important notion that content creators will need to rethink exactly how they expect to make money from their work. Apart from the ruckus over the reposting on many blogs of the magazine published pictures of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s new baby, a recent BoingBoing article talks about photographers' rights being infringed on a large scale primarily through the magic of a Google Image search. In fact, Photographer Kelly Fajack claims in a lawsuit that one of his photos was used without his permission on a currency note for the central African nation of Burundi. As a reader of BoingBoing points out… “If you do a Google images search for "Burundi School" the image in question is the 3rd to appear.” No wonder Google makes China nervous!![]()
Maybe it's an "Homage!"
