
Over the years I’ve worked on many technology accounts that have wanted to get their message over on the Internet through a series of “Informational” videos, most of which have usually ended up as boring, jargon filled rants about the miracles that Acme Networks wonder new technology is about to bring to you. All the same, all equally insulting to the viewers intelligence. I was therefore, pleasantly surprised when my old friend Ed O’Meara pointed out to me that if I wanted to see an interesting approach to marketing and branding, I should check out a series of video’s put out by Cisco. As Ed puts it so well, they have much more impact and believability than a forced blog. Check out this one by Gary Bridge, SVP of Internet Business Solutions. It’s very succinct and easy to understand, laying out points and observations without the usual bulls***. Well worth nine minutes of your time.![]()
