
I have always maintained that AdAge’s Madison + Vine web site is not worth $2.99, let alone the $299.00 they ask for a subscription. As the site puts it so elegantly… “52 issues featuring exclusive coverage on cutting-edge campaigns pushing the content commerce envelope!” Well, all I can say is that today’s issue certainly pushes the envelope, but not on content commerce. More likely on bad taste, if not sheer stupidity. One of the headlines reads… Delta Airlines Lands on a Different Runway. It then gushes on about how the flight attendants and the aircraft are getting a fashionable makeover. All this less than 48 hours after a Comair – Which is a partner of Delta – crashed and killed almost all the passengers and crew. Even worse, the crash occurred because the plane was on the wrong runway!!! Someone at AdAge should have their head delivered to them on a plate. And don’t give me that crap about stuff already going to press… This was on the promo email for the Web site and I received it mid-afternoon on Wednesday, August 30th, today. Wow, talk about divorced from reality… Mr. Crain, someone should be fired for this! ![]()
