I’ve often wondered what it is that drives the Mac bigots to be so… Bigoted! OK, they are all invariably art directors, so they can’t help it. But, it makes you wonder about the current Apple TV campaign. You know, the one with the cool, laid back guy in jeans and a sweat shirt, and the overweight dufus in the ugly suit and spectacles… No prizes for guessing which is the PC, and which is the Mac. I mean what is the point of it. The Mac bigots are already sold. That’s why they’re bigots. And if the 99% of the universe that uses PC’s are as stupid and uncreative as the spots say they are… Then all those millions pumped out over the airwaves are not really going to have any effect are they. It’s kinda like all those spots you see for HDTV sets which you are actually watching on a stone-age RCA with a big gnarly old circular channel control. I mean what’s the point? I guess in the case of Apple, it’s just to make smart-ass Mac users even more bigoted!![]()
Promise you won't tell Steve about this will you?

George,
I like the point you make, but as an "overweight dufus in the ugly suit" who has never owned a Mac, I love the commercials and keep thinking... "one of these days, I'll buy a Mac and be cool like the guy in the jeans."
Here's the real question, if I buy a Mac, George, will I BE cool?
