I know I’ve been on about this for a while, but a recent article on sense.psfk.com reinforces what I am sure is about to happen to the most heavily trafficked social networking sites… And MySpace in particular. As the writer, Jeff Squires, points out “When you receive more friend requests from companies and bands you’ve never heard of than actual friends, you know its over. And when the cheap pharmaceuticals, the refinance your mortgage, and the work-from-home schemes all entered MySpace, the fat lady started screaming.” And the worst offender? Fox/News Corp… ‘Cos you know the “Wizened of Oz” didn’t shell out $600 million for the fun of it. This time next year, most of the MySpacers will have moved on and the site will be left as a promo vehicle for Fox. Mark my words. ![]()
Not long now!!!

I'm on your team for sure. That whole site is already getting ruined, and they're way more concerned about somehow continuing their ridiculous growth (which can't happen) than taking care of the millions of people who are already there.
