There’s been a ton of publicity recently in The UK About the launch of the latest free daily newspaper “thelondonpaper” on Monday. Published by The Wizened of Oz’s News International and edited by Stefano Hatfield - who cut his teeth as launch editor of the free Metro paper in New York in 2004 – This latest effort promises Londoners a "fresh perspective" on the news. Unfortunately, because its aimed at that holy grail of all marketers…The 18-35 target demographic, it seems to be full of little other than 'celeb' gossip, scaremongering health stories posing as real science, and vapid lifestyle and fashion articles. The 'real' news which does make it in is often several days out of date and glosses over important facts. But who knows? It’s free. A little noted fact here in the US is that the world’s most elusive billionaire, Phil Anschutz, has been buying up lots of free papers in cities around the country including San Francisco and Washington. He’s a very smart guy who always operates under the radar… So what does he know that we don’t?![]()
Yeah... But which is the one with some news in it?

It's nothing too bad. We should cherish it and be grateful that the world is not all about dollars.
