The final Intel post!

So, at the end of the day, it was a mere 10,500 layoffs announced by Intel. That, plus the 1,000 management jobs announced last week, adds up to about 6% of the total workforce. Intel hopes this will save them about $1 billion a year. Several analysts have suggested that Intel's marketing staff - seen as bloated compared with the company's peers - could bear the brunt of a jobs cull. That means McCann can look forward to major budget cuts across the board on what is one of their biggest accounts. Either that, or if all the rumors currently flying around are true, they could end up losing the whole thing. Nothing lasts forever, just re-read the last post!ph62i2.gif
