So, what is it with all this boring voice over crap on just about every TV spot I’ve watched in the last six months? I mean, OK, I didn’t exactly enjoy the pimply voiced “Dell Dude” freaking out over the fact that you can upgrade your PC memory for fifty bucks or so “If you call right now!” But it seems to me that just about every spot I’ve seen recently for all kinds of products use announcers, who sound like they’re either in a Dickensian Opium den drugged out of their brains, or they have absolutely no interest, or enthusiasm for the products they are getting thousands of dollars to promote. All I know is that someone at the agency picks these people at a casting session. So take my advice guys… I know this may be the “Cool-du-jour” way to VO your spot… But in two or three years, this stuff is going to sound very passé when you’re touting your reel for a new job! ![]()
OK... I'll run for Governator... Just stop the boring voice!!!

If I never again had to hear the phrase "HEAD ON...APPLY DIRECTLY TO YOUR HEAD!", I'd be very, very happy. The commercial alone is enough to give you a headache!
