So I just got my Interim Report for the half year from WPP. Yes, I am a shareholder. Not because I bought the FIVE shares I have, but because I was awarded them a few years ago when I won “The David Ogilvy Award” for what was considered to be the best campaign of that particular year in the America’s. Anyway, enough horn tooting. What I always find interesting about “The Poisoned Dwarf’s” Empire is its sheer size and scope. There are 97,000 people in more than 2,000 offices in 106 countries. The 170 companies cover just about every branch of advertising, PR, communications and consulting you can think of. As usual, they have made increased profits from massive revenues. You have to hand it to Sir Martin… He’s a smart little bugger. Unlike the clowns at Interpublic!
