A study out today shows social networking sites maturing and become more popular, visitor age profiles are also on the rise. More than 50 percent of all MySpace users are now over the age of 35. Looks like us old geezers are taking over! The increase comes at the expense of 12-17 year olds, whose presence is down to 12%. Which again raises the question… The “Wizened of Oz shelled out nearly $700 million to get this audience, will he get a reasonable return on his investment? The odds are he probably will. He’s a devious old bugger who usually has his finger on every current trend in bad taste and soporific content. He’s also richer than Croesus, so he can afford to invest in stuff for the long haul. There’s a big churn going on in the social networking world at the moment. It will be interesting to see who’s left standing at the end of it.![]()
I'm on my way to MySpace to do a bit of social networking!
