
Reading the comments of Rance Crain in today’s AdAge about the recent ANA conference, I was reminded of one of my favorite books… “Why business people speak like idiots.” Rance was reporting on how Russ Klein of Burger King said “Turning your brand over to the consumer enables social connectivity as a means of empowerment.” I know I may come over as a complete ignoramus here, but I have no idea what that means. OK, I can guess what he’s driving at, but why do these people have to talk such gobbledygook all the time? Yeah, and don’t get me started on Power Point presentations. ![]()
