So, there's this new TV campaign running for Helio. The spots claim that "We are not a phone company and our phones are not phones." To impress that point on the viewer, a girl who describes them as "nice phones" is eaten by a whale. I know it sounds stupid, but check out the video here, then be convinced that it really is stupid. Even worse though is the product itself. If you go to the web site www.helio.com it describes all the wonderful things you can do with a Helio, like text messaging, play videos and games, surf the web, etc, etc. But isn't that what most phone companies are offering now? Plus, you can actually use their devices to make phone calls. Oh, and the cost of this Helio thing is through the roof! Anyone want to lay odds Helio will not be around a year from now?
