The only surprising thing about the news this weekend that Judith Regan has been fired by publisher Harper Collins, is the reason given for her dismissal… No, it wasn’t the OJ book deal and Fox TV special fiasco. Apparently, Judith who is well known for having one of the foulest mouths in the publishing industry lost it when talking on the phone with a Harper Collins attorney and proceeded to let him have a mouthful. Something to do with the biography of Mickey Mantle she was about to publish which has been described as "out-and-out porn! All this just before the News Corp (parent company of Harper Collins) and private fiefdom of “The Wizened of Oz," (Rupert Murdoch) Christmas party. So, instead of slugging back the eggnog with the other 4,000 invited guests, Ms Regan was packing up her belongings and being escorted from the building. Most people think she’ll soon find another home for her risqué brand of literature, with hits like “How to Make Love Like a Porn Star” and others that have helped fill the coffers of News Corp and make the “Machiavellian Mate,” a very rich man. Wonder if she'd like a book about advertising?
