There’s no question that self-publishing software is expanding, giving just about anyone the ability to publish the next War and Peace. The problem is, you have to write it first. But there's news of a new application that goes beyond what most people will be using to create their masterpieces. With HyperComics software, you are the author of your own comic book. Through a series of dragging and dropping of photos, speech bubbles and background images, users can create a unique story line and graphics. The result is printable. HyperComics, Planetwide Media announced last week they are expanding their Comic Book Creator software to include Spiderman, Barnyard, Nacho Libre and Charlotte's Web. HyperComics will be offering a free account to the first 5,000 users who sign up online and create at least one comic book. Everyone else can buy the comic book software for $30. They also have a scaled back version that allows you to put comic book elements over your own photos for just under $20. So, does that mean I can superimpose BatMan’s head on my picture… Unfortunately, with my skill level, it’ll probably come out as the Penguin!
