Advertising, ad campaigns, ad agencies, and the people that make it happen

I rarely watch network TV as so much of the programming these days, what with all the “reality” shows, is really pathetic. Couple this with the increasingly moronic advertising we are exposed to, and I’ll stick to non-network programming and DVD’s. So, you can imagine my horror to read that CBS is about to pollute the airwaves with something called “Armed and Famous!” A potential turkey based on long past their prime celebrities patrolling the streets of Muncie, Indiana with the local police force. Viewers can look forward to the escapades of Erik Estrada – Yeah, teeth and CHIPS – Jack Osborne? – Jason Acuna – Jackass – Some wrestler… And, La Toya Jackson! Apparently, they’ve all been out training for this for weeks, wonder how many doughnuts they’ve consumed? So, pretty soon we can all look forward to watching all these losers driving around in police cars and arresting people… Can you believe it? Wake me up when it’s over.
