Is it smoke & mirrors, snake oil, bullshit, or something entirely new?

I sometimes have to wonder at the inherent greed of so many companies. With the news today that, Qwest Communications International Inc. CEO Dick Notebaert said the push for legislators and regulators to impose stricter net neutrality laws on carriers has the potential to turn the nation's "long-standing communications model on its head." Meaning exactly what? Oh, now I think I get it… You want the freedom to charge extra stuff to your clients for a ton of a lot more money. Than those who want their web site to load faster than a barrel load of monkeys dipped in axle grease and, rather than get the old boiler-plate ”Publicly Funded”  DARPA system, we at Quest can do it faster, cheaper, and with a bigger smile, spread all over the alpha-web-wave. Notebaert made the comments at a speech at the Center for the New West conference at Denver's (Denver  being the corporate headquarters for Qwest) Cable Center on Thursday. Quote of the day was from Notebaert, when he said… "Net neutrality is supposedly a solution," he said. "But to require a solution, you would first need a problem. And no problem exists." So there you have it… It’s not a problem, ‘cos no such problem exists… Which is why we’re having a discussion today, To cover all those points that no longer exist. Are you all with me here? Let me know if anything begins to make sense!
