Within hours of the announcement that Toyota will be a Super Bowl advertiser again this year with spots showcasing its newly remodeled Tundra full-size pickup, came news that the company is being forced to recall 533,000 Tundra’s and Sequoia’s. It would seem that both models, going back to 2004, have ball joints in the front suspension that may wear out causing the vehicles to be difficult or sometimes impossible to steer. Toyota reports that the defect might be the cause of 11 accidents, resulting in 6 injuries. Mmmm… Not exactly the best time for this to happen. A spokeshack for the automaker said Toyota has purchased two 30-second spots in the big game as part of the $100 million-plus launch of its most competitive Tundra ever. Apparently Saatchi & Saatchi LA, who handle the account are said to be filming the spots right now. Between the costs of the air time and the production, Toyota’s probably looking at about $7 or 8 million they have very little chance of “Recalling!”

.
Hey... It's only money!
They wore out because Nessie keeps shooting them out of the f***ing water.
