Advertising, ad campaigns, ad agencies, and the people that make it happen

Things are not going as swimmingly as usual for Google with their onslaught on America’s airwaves. Even though Google's approach to advertising has worked wonders on the internet, and made it a remunerative friend to bloggers. The less sophisticated nature of radio has caused some conflicts with Google's radio ad service. Online ads are very different than the one-on-one personalized service radio advertising normally uses. While Google ads are running on some 700 radio stations, that's a very small part of the market, because there are tens of thousands of stations scattered across the US. The problem with radio, as distinct with many other kinds of media is you have to develop relationships with stations and groups to give you packages representing value. If you don't have buyers and negotiators who are radio-focused you’ll never be able to hondle for the really great deals. Google’s problem will be building a stable of markets and stations to make it a force to be reckoned with on a national scale.
