You can put this in the column… “To be taken with a grain of salt!” A new Harris Interactive Poll of the attitudes and response of U.S. online adults toward email marketing communications, commissioned by Acxiom Digital, a digital media company, polled 2,541 online adults over the age of 18. While 74 percent found email communications from companies they do business with as valuable, just 17 percent could say the same of emails received from businesses they did not usually purchase from. In the words of company CEO Hack, Kevin Johnson…"Savvy consumers have come to rely on e-mail marketing communications as a resource to help them get the best deals possible, this poll demonstrates that e-mail marketing has evolved over the years to bring more value to consumers while proving to be a more effective medium for retailers than ever before." Yeah OK Kevin, so when my in box gets gummed up with thousands of unwanted offers from people who are probably your clients… I’ll just forward them on to you. Let’s see if that’s a “resource” of benefit to you.
