Advertising, ad campaigns, ad agencies, and the people that make it happen

Apparently Monday is the 2 hour season premier of “Dancing with the Stars” which is nearly as popular as the world’s dumbest program, “American Idol.” Having said that, the air time for both these travesties is very expensive. OK, not in Super Bowl, or Oscar territory, but not cheap. So you know two thirds of the great unwashed out there are watching this stuff. Now I don’t want to seem like a snob here, but what is going on… These are the most popular programs on network TV… And what’s the most popular on Cable… WWF Smack Down. Or whatever this pseudo sport is called.  Then I’m told the fastest growing spectator sport in the US is NASCAR. So I wouldn’t be surprised if the gourmet dish of choice for this generation would be melted Kraft cheese slices over chicken fried road kill… Yeeehaaaw!!!
