
One thing I’ve always said about this business is that nothing lasts forever. An account can be at an agency for years, but eventually, it leaves. It happened with United years ago, it recently happened with Volvo. One day it will happen with IBM. But the interesting news yesterday is that Nike has started to shift some work out of Weiden and Kennedy. OK, right now it’s just the running shoe account, which isn’t that small, it’s what the company was founded on, after all. But, it’s probably the first crack in the dyke.
