Advertising, ad campaigns, ad agencies, and the people that make it happen

It would seem that politicians in the UK are now starting to jump on the YouTube bandwagon along with their American counterparts. First one in was David Cameron, leader of the Conservatives a couple of weeks ago. Now the Labor Party has started something called “LaborVison” with PM Tony Blair hosting the first video. Well, let me rephrase that… He’s actually starring in what could be the most boring piece of film ever inflicted on the British viewing audience. It’s simply a talking head rambling on and on about how wonderful this new medium is going to be, without the benefit of some smart questioner interrupting and asking awkward questions… Which they do far more in European TV political interviews than the soft-soap Larry King approach which is so prevalent in the US. Anyway, someone with some production experience needs to sit the PM down and give him a bit of a talking to before he puts everyone to sleep.
